Arizona Fire & Water Restoration, Incorporated is a full-service restoration contractor. We have a long, proud history of serving customers in the Valley of the Sun.

We began business back in 1952 with Warren Book at the helm of what was then W. W. Book, General Contractor. In those early days, our business was building and remodeling homes for a rapidly growing population in the Los Angeles area.

Then in 1972, Warren Book and family moved to the Valley of the Sun. He continued doing what he knew best, remodeling and building custom homes. The Phoenix metropolitan area was booming and people were coming here in droves. It was then that his sons, Doug and Lyle, entered the business and the name was changed to Book and Sons Construction, Inc. Phoenix was on the move and so was Book and Sons Construction.

In 1985, Lyle Book and his wife closed their successful remodeling business to become part owners of the company. The business continued to construct design-build homes and remodeling projects.

In 1990 the company designed and built a 6300-sq. ft. custom home on Camelback Road for over $760,000.00 near Scottsdale, Arizona. This unique two-story home was constructed of poly-steel Styrofoam-block exterior wall construction. Amenities included a very modern kitchen, 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, exercise room, spa area, swimming pool, built-in BBQ, commercial-style laundry room and upstairs residential laundry room, and a 4-car garage. After construction started, the owners added a detached 2-car garage and shop.

As the company diversified, Lyle recognized the potential in the restoration contracting industry and set out to learn all he could about it. He became industry-certified in fire, water, odor and mold remediation. The company also soon came to understand that this was an industry in which a company could make a real contribution to the local citizens and businesses. Lyle felt he made a difference in people's lives at the end of the day. He recognized that this was a chance to have a hand in putting people's lives back together.

Lyle soon redirected the company to become one of the largest full-service restoration contractors in Arizona. Since then, Warren retired. Lyle became President and the name of the company changed to Arizona Fire & Water Restoration, Incorporated to better describe its business focus.

Arizona Fire and Water Restoration, Inc.'s focus is on customer service. It has to be and always will be. We understand all of the money it takes and where the money comes from to run a business, pay employees, pay for materials and pay the rent-Customers. It all comes from Customers. We know that we can't be successful if our corporate focus is not on doing a great job for customers.

We also know that we can't focus on customers effectively if we don't have good employees. It's true our motto is "doing things better, faster and cheaper." But what that really means is that we must do our jobs right the first time and we never forget that everything we do is to satisfy-No, astonish our customers.
